In the driver’s seat is 26-year-old Austin McDonald from Wallaroo, South Australia. Austin imported his F2 Molgaard hull race boat from Denmark in 2022. This impressive vessel is fitted with a Mercury Optimax 200XS and currently averaging 150kph. Austin spent several years racing 410ci sprint cars before deciding to go boat racing and return to where his dad Andrew, now Austin’s crew chief, raced for many years. With only 3 meetings in a boat Austin is looking to gain valuable seat time and excited to keep learning and gather more speed!

Next race meet will be round one of the Australian Formula Powerboat GP in Albury, February 18^th and 19^th.
